Flowers, Just Because

When we decided to grow flowers along with our vegetables a few years ago, I thought I would always have a vase full of fresh beauties in the house. I had dreamed of a cutting garden. I love arranging them, and I never tire of looking at them on the dining room table.

While I do bring them inside, I have realized that I enjoy watching the bees and butterflies going about their business of keeping our world beautiful and healthy even more.

I plant the flowers for them, and they give me life in return.

Not a bad trade.
